Started on this one a while ago, pulled it out yesterday and now i will finish it. When I bought this only the stock version of the kit was on the market, eventually id like to do another build with the rally or race version. Colour im planning something really obnoxious, like orange, hopefully I can get it in paint on monday. I wish tamiya had more kits that interest me. This is my first tamiya kit, but man the quality is above and beyond any revell or amt or mpc or monogram kit I have ever built. Parts actually fit together, and even though this is an older kit there is hardly any flash/mould lines and injector pin marks in obnoxious places. Attachments:

Engine looks great, Kyle! Can't wait to see the rest of it.
A good friend of mine had an original right-hand drive Mini for a while so I spent some time riding in and driving it. They're pretty cool and increadibly roomy inside. Although, it's kind of a weird feeling running down the freeway in one when everything is at least twice your size!
The same guys neighbor was in a Mini club and they set up monthly parking lot autocross races. It's amazing how nimble these little things are. I don't know if he ever finished his, but he was re-working it with a Honda V-TEC 4 from a Civic SI. I'm sure it would have hauled ass!
